3rd Grade Pronunciation and Vocabulary

Was a 3rd grade student

Who was struggling in his yearly reading curriculum. He was lagging behind in the coursework but his reading and fluency skills had not reached adequate levels for his grade. His parents got worried and decided on extra classes to help his improve his skills but to no avail. After some research, they found Vital Tutoring.

We then curated a custom reading plan fit to Emily’s specific problems. His main problem in reading wasn’t with fluency or speed rather his issue centered around pronunciation and vocabulary. We decided that giving Emily a vocabulary list with the tutor helping in the pronunciation would be the best option to drastically improve his literacy level. We covered all aspects of reading with Emily to make sure he wasn’t lagging behind in other areas as he improved his vocabulary to ensure that everything was well-rounded.

As shown in the results below, Henry drastically improved in his assessment tests when we targeted his specific problems. we have quantitative results which show the progress Henry has made from the start of the school year to the end. although he started our program mid-semester he was able to make significant progress and reach the required reading level by the end of the year.

The required reading standard for his grade and progress to the next grade. He even scored a B in his final reading assessment. his parents were very happy with the drastic improvement and decided to continue with the program for the next year as well.
